Every celebration is different, but these recommendations are a great starting point for most weddings and events.
Personalized Matchboxes & Matchbooks
As a reception favor: Plan for 1 matchbox or matchbook per guest.
Displayed in a central basket: Plan for 1 per couple, plus a few extras.
For sparkler send-offs: Plan for 1 matchbox or matchbook for every 2 guests.
For cigar bars: Plan for 2 matchboxes or matchbooks per guest.
Personalized Cocktail Napkins
Bar & cocktails: Plan for 2–3 cocktail napkins per guest.
Cake & dessert: Plan for 1–2 napkins per guest.
Hors d'oeuvres: Plan for 1–2 napkins per guest.
Total rule of thumb: For a wedding with a bar, appetizers, and dessert, plan for 4–5 cocktail napkins per guest total.
Personalized Frosted Cups
As a take-home favor: Plan for 1 cup per guest.
As drinkware: Plan for 1 cup per guest. Most guests use the same cup throughout the celebration.
For extras: Consider ordering an additional 10–20 cups for the wedding party, keepsakes, photos, or unexpected guests.

Reception tables: Plan for 1 coaster per place setting.
Extra table styling: Plan for 1–2 coasters per guest.
Bars or cocktail stations: Consider 1–2 additional coasters per guest, depending on how drinks will be served.
Planning for Unexpected Guests
